WUI Launch Event: Historic Meridian Park 1a “A Sunday Promenade”

Have you lost your feet? You woke up, looked down, and they were nowhere to be found? Walk Urban Indy invites you to come find your feet as they launch a new walk-route in Historic Meridian Park. 

On Saturday, September 20th Walk Urban Indy is inviting city-dwellers to join us for FREE docent-led walks in this historic neighborhood. The route, entitled “A Sunday Promenade” is a one-mile walk that highlights the early history of the neighborhood with significant architecture that connects our lives (and feet!) to the residents of 100 years ago.

We will be launching from the neighborhood’s new pocket park (open Spring 2015) located at 215 E 33rd Street with tours launching every half hour and lasting approximately 30 minutes.

UPDATE: Local company, PRN Graphics, has donated 75 white tee-shirts (child and adult sizes) and we will be tie-dying during the afternoon. Of course, you have to have walked the route with us first so you might want to walk in the morning if you want to tie-dye in the afternoon!
